The biggest beer we brew, Dark Matter's presence is felt but not seen. This 14.8% pitch-black bourbon barrel-aged behemoth has one of the thickest bodies anywhere and ceaseless malt complexity. Cluster and Bravo hops provide a well integrated bitterness that's always present but never forward, maltiness rules here. The roast character ranges a substantial breadth, from dark fruit notes such as blackcurrant, aged plum, raisin and dates to a rounded chocolate assault of cacao nibs, dark and milk chocolate. Umami notes and toast character play behind a myriad of low-astringency roastiness, all infused with bourbon spice and warmth.
